Production Engineer

Job Summary

Stenta is a growing manufacturer in the flexible plastic packaging industry, serving multinational clients. We are looking for a Production Engineer to support daily production operations, improve efficiency, and ensure smooth plant performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and achieve production output targets (daily / weekly / monthly)
• Analyse production performance, identify gaps, and implement corrective actions
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce waste and improve productivity
• Track and improve production quality performance and efficiency
• Plan and manage manpower deployment and shift scheduling
• Supervise operators and provide guidance on production processes
• Work closely with Maintenance, QAQC, and Planning teams to resolve issues
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and operational standards
• Support 24/7 production operations when required

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical / Chemical / Polymer / Industrial Engineering, Material Science, Physics, or related field
• 2–5 years of working experience in manufacturing or production environment
• Fresh graduates with strong interest in manufacturing are encouraged to apply
• Experience in plastic, printing, or packaging industry is an advantage
• Exposure to extrusion, packaging film production, slitting, or PP/PE film production is preferred
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing / Continuous Improvement is an added advantage
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills
• Able to manage manpower and work in a fast-paced environment
• Willing to be hands-on on the production floor

Working Hours & Conditions

• Monday – Friday: 8:45 AM – 6:15 PM
• Required to be on standby during off-hours / rest days for urgent production or breakdown issues
