About the role

Bakat Industri Sdn Bhd is seeking a talented Procurement Executive to join our dynamic team in Puchong, Selangor. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in our operations by managing procurement activities and ensuring the efficient supply of materials and services to support our manufacturing and logistics operations. As a Procurement Executive, you will be instrumental in optimising our supply chain, negotiating with suppliers, and maintaining strong vendor relationships to ensure business continuity and cost efficiency. This role offers the opportunity to develop expertise in purchasing and procurement within a growing manufacturing and logistics organisation.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct sourcing, evaluate and select new supplier

• Process and manage Purchase Orders (PO) in accordance with procurement procedures.

• Review procurement requests to ensure completeness and accuracy of supporting documents.

• Conduct quotation comparisons and price analysis to support vendor selection.

• Communicate and maintain good relationship with suppliers

• Planning & Monitoring of shipment schedule

• Coordinate with internal stakeholders and vendors to resolve procurement, delivery, or service-related issues.

• To review, control and monitor stock inventory in order to avoid zero stock and excess stock situation

• Maintain procurement records and assist in preparing reports.

• Coordinate import shipments

• Follow-up on the shipping documents and submit for clearance

What we're looking for

• Diploma in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, or related fields.

• With at 1-2 years of experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain management.

• Added advantage with experience in RFQ, contract negotiation, and supplier management.

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and data analysis.

• Strong attention to detail, coordination, and problem-solving skills.

• Good communication skills in written and spoken English.

• Proactive problem-solving mindset
