Quantity Surveyor (QS)

Job Summary
Responsible for managing the cost and contractual aspects of construction and property development projects from pre-contract to post-contract stages, ensuring projects are completed within budget, on schedule, and in compliance with contractual requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare quantity take-off, cost estimates, project budgets and Bills of Quantities (BQ).
• Prepare tender documents, evaluate quotations and recommend subcontractors and suppliers.
• Manage procurement activities, including price negotiations and subcontract awards.
• Prepare, evaluate and process progress claims, variation orders (VO), extension of time (EOT) claims and final accounts.
• Monitor project costs, budgets, cash flow and prepare cost reports.
• Administer subcontract agreements and maintain proper contract documentation.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, contractors and project teams on commercial matters.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and support project profitability.

Requirements

• Diploma/Degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent.
• Min. 2 years of relevant experience in construction or property development.
• Good knowledge of cost control, tendering, procurement and contract administration.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and QS software.
• Good communication, negotiation and analytical skills.

Pay: RM3,000.00 - RM4,500.00 per month
