About this Job
As an equipment engineer, you will oversee the construction and launch of new production lines, including equipment installation, commissioning, evaluation, and acceptance to ensure on-time delivery. You will develop and execute maintenance plans, lead failure analysis and downtime reduction initiatives, and drive improvements in overall equipment effectiveness (OEE), process capability, and yield. The role also involves supporting technical upgrades, addressing customer-related defects through failure analysis, managing tooling costs, and ensuring full compliance with Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) standards and programs.
Working Location: Serendah, Selangor
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for new production line construction, including installation, commissioning, evaluation, and acceptance of new equipments and ensuring timely delivery.
- Make and implement equipment maintenance plans, lead failure analysis, DT (Downtime) improvement, and promote OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness).
- Responsible for equipment technical upgrades and promotion, process capability improvement, and yield improvement.
- Participate in FA (Failure Analysis) and improvement of customer complaints regarding defective products and projects.
- Cost control of tools and fixtures.
- To comply with the company Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) policies and procedures, and to participate in EHS programs and training as required.
Key Requirements
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Automation, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement within large-scale electronic manufacturing environments; candidates with background in lithium battery industry is an added advantage.
- Proficient in basic mechanical and electrical knowledge; familiar with mechanical principles, mechanical drawing, tolerance analysis, and software such as SolidWorks and certain engineering method application skills.
- Willingness to take on challenges, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, performance-driven work environment.
- Willing to work in Serendah, Selangor.
