Salary Range :RM 2,800 – RM 4,000 per month

Working day :5.5 days

Working time :

Monday-Friday : 8.30 am to 5.30pm ; 12.30 to 1.30 pm lunch hour

Full job description

Quantity surveyors have under their helm complete management of the cost involved in building and construction projects from the inception of the project until the delivery. They strive for an efficient use of the resources whilst keeping an eye on quality, quality standards, and client's requirements.

• Analyze plans, specifications, and documents to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates.
• Involving in Post-Contract administration including cost analysis & budget controlling, sub-contracts awarding, preparation of progress claim / certificates.
• Involving in scheduled progress meeting, coordination meeting etc.
• Procure or agree to the services of contractors and/or subcontractors who work on the construction of the project.
• Measure and value the work done on-site and submit detailed progress reports.
• Conduct feasibility studies to estimate materials, time and labor costs.
• Manage the costs and budget of a project from inception to completion.
• Negotiate and advise on procurement strategy.
• Prepare and submit final accounts.
• To assist Project Manager for monitoring on EI (Engineer Instruction, Architects Instruction and Client Instruction) for variation Order claim.
• To monitor together with project manager and purchaser for costing issue / or specialist item.
• To monitor material usage and wastage for the given project
• Keep track of construction materials and inventory
• Develop and maintain working relationships with contractors and subcontractors
• Other QS duties as and when assigned by superior.

· Preparation of final account.

· Perform ad-hoc tasks as assigned by Management from time to time.

• Traveling from the office to various sites as required (If needed)

Job Requirements:

· A Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying

· Minimum 2 years' experience as a Quantity Surveyor, preferably in the construction industry

· Strong understanding of construction contracts, cost management, and project control techniques

· Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work under pressure

· Proficient in the use of construction-specific software, such as estimating and project management tools

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with all stakeholders

· A proactive and organised approach, with a keen eye for detail
