Job Purpose
Lead the Purchasing team to acquire quality used vehicles at the right price while supporting sales, profitability, and business growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of Vehicle Inspectors.
- Make final decisions on purchasing vehicles from customers.
- Assess vehicle condition and value using technical automotive knowledge.
- Negotiate purchase prices with customers.
- Ensure purchased vehicles meet company quality and profit targets.
- Work closely with Sales and Operations to meet inventory needs.
- Monitor team performance and achieve purchasing KPIs.
- Identify opportunities to improve vehicle acquisition and revenue.
Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in a related field is preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in the automotive industry, preferably in vehicle purchasing, inspection, or used car operations.
- Minimum 2 years of experience leading a team.
- Strong technical knowledge of vehicle mechanics and condition assessment.
- Good negotiation and decision-making skills.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Commercial mindset with a focus on sales, revenue, and profitability.
