About the role

Reporting to the Sales Director, we are seeking an ambitious and results-driven Business Development Manager (Data Centre) to join Synerwell Industrial Solutions Sdn Bhd. This is a full-time position based in Bandar Puteri Puchong, Selangor, offering an excellent opportunity to drive growth and establish new business opportunities within the data centre sector.

In this strategic role, you will be responsible for identifying, pursuing and securing new business opportunities for our data centre solutions and services. You will play a pivotal role in expanding our market presence, building strong client relationships and contributing significantly to the company's revenue growth objectives. This position offers the chance to work at the forefront of a growing industry whilst developing your career with a progressive organisation.

Key responsibilities

1. Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the data centre market, including potential clients, partnerships and strategic accounts

2. Develop and execute comprehensive business development strategies aligned with company objectives and market dynamics

3. Develop and maintain relationships with key industry stakeholders, including data centre operators, general contractors (builders), multidisciplinary consultants, quantity surveying and project management consultants, mechanical and electrical (M&E) contractors, switchboard and switch room fabricators.

4. Identify emerging market opportunities, customer needs, and competitive trends within the Malaysia data centre landscape.

5. Review tenders and work with internal bid teams on proposals.

6. Partner with sales teams to align customer requirements.

7. Contribute to strategic planning, forecasting, and business performance activities.

8. Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure the successful pursuit and delivery of major opportunities.

9. Represent Synerwell at industry events, networking functions, and customer engagements.

10. Help define long-term strategies by contributing to market research, portfolio development, and growth plans.

11. Ability to penetrate data centre market.

Qualifications & Skill

1. Candidate must possess at least Bachelor’s Degree/ Post-Graduate Diploma or equivalent.

2. Equip with 3-5 years of experience within the data centre industry, with a proven track record of developing relationships and networks across the industry.

3. Strong expertise in data centre design and emerging data centre trends.

4. Experience in business development, sales, or strategic account management within data centres, critical infrastructure, electrical, industrial, or technology sectors.

5. Deep understanding of the Malaysia data centre landscape, including key customers, partner ecosystem, and market drivers.

6. Strong commercial acumen and the ability to identify and develop strategic opportunities.

7. Excellent relationship-building and stakeholder management capabilities

8. The ability to work effectively across technical and commercial teams within a complex organization.

9. Strategic thinking capability with a proactive and growth-focused mindset.

10. Exceptional communication, presentation, and influencing skills.

11. Driving toward target independently without needing constant managerial oversight.

12. Ability to staying interested in learning new industries, product and people.
