The Finance Manager will oversee all financial operations, ensuring the organization’s fiscal health and compliance with relevant regulations. This role involves strategic planning, financial analysis, risk management, and fostering collaboration across departments to support business objectives.
Responsibilities
- Manage internal and external audits, ensuring timely submission of documentation and resolution of audit findings.
- Strengthen internal controls to safeguard financial data integrity, prevent fraud, and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Ensure full compliance with tax regulations and maintain effective liaison with tax authorities and advisors.
- Lead annual budgeting and forecasting processes, developing financial models aligned with business strategy.
- Perform financial analysis to monitor performance, identify variances, and provide actionable insights.
- Oversee cash flow and capital management to support operational stability and business continuity.
- Ensure timely tax compliance and filings in accordance with Malaysian tax legislation.
- Collaborate with tax advisors to optimize tax strategies and leverage available incentives.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate financial risks across business operations.
- Review and improve financial policies and procedures in line with best practices and regulatory standards.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team to enhance performance and professional growth.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence within the finance function.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams (legal, operations, and others) to align financial reporting with business objectives.
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making across the organization.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance/Accounting, or professional accounting qualification such as ACCA, CIMA, CPA and MIA.
- Minimum of 5 years of working experience preferably within the interior fit-out and construction industry. Candidates from reputable audit firms are encouraged to apply.
- In-depth knowledge of financial management principles, accounting standards, and tax regulations.
- Proficiency in financial modeling, analysis, and reporting tools.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and make strategic recommendations.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills to effectively lead a team and collaborate with cross-functional departments.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Experience in construction project financing and contract management is desirable.
- Experience in Corporate Exercise.
