COMMISSIONING ENGINEER

Seiko Precision is seeking a Commissioning Engineer with the analytical prowess to drive the critical transition from installation to operational excellence. We need a proactive leader who can oversee the entire commissioning lifecycle - from planning to handover - ensuring systems are installed correctly, tested thoroughly, and operate flawlessly to give our company a competitive edge.

As a skill-based organization, we leverage the unique strengths and expertise of every team member. Our focus is on adaptability and continuous skill development, valuing skills over fixed job titles, which empowers them to chart their own career paths and take ownership of their professional development. We foster a culture of cross-functional collaboration that fuels agility, allowing our members to respond swiftly to evolving challenges, and drive transformative innovation.

You will thrive here if you're driven to troubleshoot complex systems through hands-on learning, motivated by a hunger for growth, and eager to tackle industry challenges head-on. We seek adaptable, and passionate quick learners who bring creative innovations, fresh perspectives and high energy to our team.

Here, we empower you to break traditional boundaries, work across all functions to achieve the best outcomes, and bring forward unique perspectives. The role is challenging, but for those who rise to it, the rewards include competitive salary, and rapid career progression. Join us to make a real impact in our forward-thinking environment that values curiosity, collaboration, and bold contributions.

A day in the life at Seiko…

  • Lead the Commissioning Lifecycle: You will take charge of on-site testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting of complex electrical and mechanical systems, ensuring every component meets rigorous operational specifications before handover.
  • Drive Technical Excellence: Develop robust test procedures and analyze performance data with precision. You will be responsible for preparing detailed commissioning reports and documentation that serve as the blueprint for project success.
  • Activate Project Synergy: Act as the technical liaison between clients, subcontractors, and internal teams. You will supervise staff on-site, ensuring strict adherence to safety protocols and regulatory compliance during the critical startup phase.
  • Solve Problems Proactively: Rather than waiting for instructions, you will identify potential issues in equipment installation or system logic (PLS) and implement immediate solutions to maintain project momentum.

You will excel in Seiko if you are...

  • A proactive problem solver – You possess strong analytical skills and take the lead when resolving issues. You don’t just report defects; you troubleshoot equipment failures and optimize system performance to meet industry standards.

  • A technical authority – You are fluent in PLC programming and proficient with tools like AutoCAD/Solidworks. You combine deep technical knowledge of electrical/mechanical systems with the practical ability to apply it on site.

  • A collaborative communicator – You bridge the gap between technical teams and clients using your strong interpersonal skills. You are capable of coordinating across various disciplines to ensure alignment and client satisfaction.

  • Energetic and enthusiastic – You are a team player who brings enthusiasm and high-level energy to every aspect of our mission. Your passion fuels innovation, and your commitment inspires those around you to reach new heights, embodying a proactive approach to lifelong learning and growth.

Prerequisites:

  • A diploma or bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronic, Mechanical or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of hands-on commissioning experience.
  • Proficiency in PLC programming and AutoCAD/Solidworks is essential.
  • Must possess a valid driving license and own transport; willing to travel occasionally to project sites.
  • Must be fluent in Bahasa Malaysia, English and Mandarin to effectively communicate with diverse stakeholders.
