About the Role

We are looking for a senior manufacturing operations leader to take full ownership of a production facility in Serendah. This role is responsible for stabilizing current operations, leading the transition into the next phase of expansion, and ensuring the plant runs independently and efficiently.

The ideal candidate has strong factory leadership experience in high-complexity manufacturing environments and is comfortable working closely with China-based technical teams while managing local operations on the ground.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage overall plant operations (production, maintenance, quality, and supply chain)
• Ensure smooth transition and ramp-up of Phase II operations
• Stabilize production performance and improve operational efficiency
• Develop and enforce SOPs to ensure consistent execution standards
• Manage and improve team performance, discipline, and productivity
• Work closely with suppliers to ensure quality, cost, and delivery requirements are met
• Act as the bridge between China technical teams and Malaysia operations team
• Handle production or equipment issues promptly, including urgent breakdown situations
• Drive continuous improvement and operational excellence initiatives

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in manufacturing operations or plant management
• Background in lithium battery, semiconductor, chemical, or other high-volume manufacturing industries preferred
• Proven experience in factory setup, ramp-up, or operational turnaround
• Strong leadership and people management skills
• Fluent in Mandarin (must be able to communicate with China stakeholders)
• Working proficiency in Bahasa Malaysia (to manage local workforce effectively)
• Strong execution mindset and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Willing to handle operational emergencies when required
