Job Summary

Project Accountant manages the financial aspects of specific engineering projects, acting as a liaison between project managers and finance controller. Key responsibilities include prepare & monitoring project budgets, tracking progress expenses, getting bank instruments to finance projects, estimate project incomes, and profitability. They also ensure compliance with financial regulations and provide financial reports to support decision-making.

Job Responsibilities

• Budgeting & Forecasting: Setting up project accounts, developing financial plans, and forecasting costs.
• Cost Management: Tracking project expenses, comparing actual costs vs estimates, and investigating & justify variances.
• Invoicing & Billing: Monitor client invoices issuance and managing the payment cycle for subcontractors.
• Financial Reporting: Preparing monthly profit-and-loss statements, project profitability reports, and budget updates.
• Compliance & Controls: Adhering to company policies and ensuring projects comply with accounting regulations.
• Business Partnering: Liaising with project managers to explain financial strategy of project decisions.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in accounting, finance, or engineering related field.
• Experience in accounting or project accounting standards.
• Strong knowledge of MS Excel and accounting/project management softwares.
• Strong ability to analyse financial data and trends.
• Effective communication skills for interacting with project teams.
• Based at Seri Kembangan

Pay: RM5,500.00 - RM8,000.00 per month
