The R&D Chemist at Ori Bionature (located in Taman Industri, Puchong) leads the creation of skincare, personal care, and cosmetic formulations. The role spans from concept development to production scale-up, requiring strict compliance with local authorities, GMP, and Halal guidelines.

The Key Responsibilities

• Formulation: Design and develop new cosmetic products (creams, serums, gels, lotions) from initial concept to physical prototype.
• Testing: Perform physical, chemical, and sensory evaluations alongside stability and packaging compatibility studies.
• Ingredient Sourcing: Discover and evaluate new, innovative active ingredients from vendors for product performance.
• Production Scale-up: Translate lab-scale formulas into mass production and troubleshoot issues during pilot trials.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all formulas meet ASEAN Cosmetic Directive guidelines, GMP, ISO, and Halal standards.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry, Applied Chemistry, or Cosmetic Science.
• Experience: 1 to 3 years of hands-on experience in skincare, personal care, and cosmetic formulation.
• Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of raw materials, emulsion science, and creative troubleshooting abilities for formulation challenges.
• Soft Skills: Independent, creative problem-solver with a strong passion for beauty trends, innovation, and sustainability.

Pay: RM2,800.00 - RM4,000.00 per month
