- Perform routine preventive maintenance (PM) and corrective maintenance (CM) on UHT, filling, packing, powder, CIP and utility equipment as per schedule.
- Carry out general mechanical work: bearing changes, belt and chain adjustments, gasket and seal replacements, pneumatic and hydraulic system checks.
- Carry out basic electrical work: lamp/contactor replacement, motor isolation, panel inspection, simple wiring under supervision; electrical/instrumentation is a plus.
- Respond to breakdown calls during shift; perform first-line diagnostics and restore equipment to service safely.
- Operate machines and tools required during maintenance jobs and assist Production during line setup and changeover.
- Record maintenance activities, downtime, spare parts used and observations in the CMMS / log book.
- Comply with GMP, HACCP, HALAL, ISO 22000 and EHS requirements at all times; observe LOTO and permit-to-work procedures.
- Practise 5S and good housekeeping in workshop, panel rooms and production areas.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives (root-cause analysis, autonomous maintenance, energy saving).
- Perform any other duties as assigned by superiors from time to time.
Education & Skills Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, Industrial Maintenance or related field.
- 0-2 years of relevant experience is an added advantage.
- Basic mechanical skills are required; basic electrical wiring and instrumentation knowledge is a plus.
- Able to read simple technical drawings, P&IDs and electrical schematics.
- Willing to work on rotating shift, including weekends and public holidays.
- Hands-on, physically fit, able to work at height and in confined spaces after training.
- Familiarity with food / dairy manufacturing environment, GMP, HACCP, HALAL and EHS is a plus.
- Able to communicate in Bahasa Malaysia; basic English is an advantage
