Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced EHS (Environment, Health, and Safety) Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining comprehensive EHS programs to ensure a safe, healthy, and compliant work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and enhance EHS policies, procedures, and programs in alignment with legal requirements and industry best practices.
- Conduct regular risk assessments, safety inspections, and audits to identify potential hazards and ensure corrective actions are taken.
- Lead the ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and OHSAS 18001 certification processes, including system implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement.
- Prepare and deliver EHS training programs to employees and management to promote safety awareness and compliance.
- Investigate incidents, accidents, and near-misses, and prepare detailed reports with recommendations for preventive measures.
- Collaborate with project managers and other departments to integrate EHS considerations into planning and operations.
- Review and interpret technical drawings and schematics to ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Maintain accurate EHS documentation, records, and reports in accordance with regulatory and corporate requirements.
- Utilize Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) to create reports, presentations, and training materials.
- Responsible for all safety work of company's property management, and is the safety executive representative of the property
- Complete the work arranged by superiors and regional FE managers.
Qualificati
- Degree or higher in Environmental Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Safety Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of EHS management experience in an industrial setting.
- Must possess a valid Registered Safety & Health Officer (Green Book) certification.
- Strong knowledge of national EHS laws, regulations and industry standards.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, planning, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team and support project managers in achieving EHS objectives.
- Proficiency in both spoken and written English for daily communication and report writing.
- Familiarity with reading and interpreting technical drawings.
- Experience in leading EHS management system implementation and certification.
