As a member of our family-owned business, you will play a key role in ensuring smooth, efficient and compliant execution of our warehouse operations. Working in an airport environment (KLIA2), you will drive operational excellence, enhance processes, and lead a team of 10 logistics team members to consistently deliver high service standards aligned with our company values.
As an Assistant Logistics Manager, you will
- Supervise daily workflows including inbound receiving, quality checking, shelving, picking, packing, and dispatch.
- Coordinate delivery schedules with Logistic officer and to ensure on-time delivery to retail outlet.
- Ensure all inbound and outbound documentation are accurate, ensuring shipping files, delivery orders, customs declarations, and commercial invoices are legally compliant with custom regulations.
- Optimize warehouse layout and storage utilization to improve flow and reduce handling time.
- Review the existing logistics operations and processes and advise on corrective and preventive measures to take in order to run the logistics operations effectively, including developing and enhancing SOP and where required.
- Lead monthly cycle counts, stock reconciliation and expiry checks to ensure inventory accuracy and proper stock rotation practices.
- Prepare and analyze reports on logistics activities such as inventory levels, shipping and receiving, and labor utilization to support business decision making.
- Lead, coach and motivate team members and conduct regular performance evaluations, while fostering a positive, collaborative team culture aligned with company values.
What you should bring along
- A Diploma / Degree in Logistics or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of practical experience working at a supervisory level in Warehouse / Logistics environment within the retail industry.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse operations and processes including understanding of luxury brands and products.
- Good understanding of Customs’ requirements as well as bonded warehouse structure.
- Proven leadership experience with a strong ability to manage and mentor team members.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong problem solving skills and decision making abilities to address operational challenges.
- Sound knowledge of MS Office and SAP system.
