Primary Responsibilities and Duties

2.1.1. Monitors movement of drugs and medication supply in and out of the department and ensure that there is sufficient supply for patients.

2.1.2. Accountable for inventory control of pharmacy department.

2.1.3. Accountable for stock holding; minimize amount of expired medication, writes off of expired or damaged drug in the pharmacy store.

2.1.4. Able to communicate with medical officers, specialists, consultants regarding usage of drugs.

2.1.5. Able to provide alternatives when the stock is not available.

2.1.6. Supervise purchaser and storekeeper, ensure they are working according to the standard operation procedure (SOP).

2.1.7. Responsible for the management of Dangerous Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (including receiving, supply and storage) in the department and perform periodic inspection at the department and ward level.

2.1.8. Attend to drug enquiries from patients and healthcare providers.

2.1.9. Coordinate, supervise and perform stock take exercise in the department.

2.1.10. Make sure the physical stock is tally with the system.

2.1.11. At all times, maintain strict confidentiality of any information encountered during the course of your duties.

2.1.12. Assists the Senior Pharmacist / Head of Department in planning, monitoring and managing safety and performance improvement activities when needed.

Secondary Responsibilities and Duties

2.2.1 Able to work overtime as and when required.

Perform duties and responsibilities delegated by the Senior Pharmacist / Head of Department / as directed by the Management, from time to time.

Pay: RM5,000.00 - RM6,000.00 per month
