Job Summary:
We are looking for a Project Engineer with strong Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) background to support and coordinate Oil & Gas construction projects. The candidate shall be capable of handling project execution, coordinating with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and ensuring work completion according to project specifications, safety requirements, and schedule.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and coordinate E&I construction activities at site.
- Liaise directly with clients, consultants, vendors, and subcontractors regarding project matters.
- Attend site meetings, technical discussions, progress meetings, and client coordination meetings.
- Review project drawings, specifications, method statements, and technical documents.
- Monitor project progress, manpower, materials, and site activities to ensure timely completion.
- Prepare project reports, progress updates, work schedules, and documentation.
- Coordinate inspection, testing, commissioning, and handover activities.
- Ensure all works comply with project specifications, quality requirements, and HSE standards.
- Support procurement and material tracking for E&I related items.
- Resolve technical and site issues together with client and internal team.
- Ensure proper submission of RFI, MIR, daily reports, and other project documentation.
Requirements:
- Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 3–5 years working experience in Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, or Industrial projects.
- Strong knowledge in E&I construction, installation, testing, and commissioning.
- Experience in dealing with clients and attending project meetings independently.
- Familiar with construction drawings, single line diagrams, loop drawings, and cable schedules.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Able to work independently and under tight project schedule.
- Familiar with site safety requirements and permit-to-work system.
- CIDB Green Card and OGSP/NTSP certification will be an advantage.
Preferred Skills:
- Knowledge in cable laying, termination, tubing, JB installation, instrument calibration, and MCC/PLC systems.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and project documentation.
- Experience with PGB/Petronas projects is an added advantage.
