Key Responsibilities
Quality Assurance & Quality Control (QAQC)
- Monitor and ensure compliance with GMP, HACCP, ISO 22000, MeSTI, and food safety standards.
- Conduct incoming raw material, in-process, and finished product inspections.
- Develop, review, and update product specifications, COA, SOP, Halal and quality documentation.
- Investigate non-conformance, implement corrective/preventive actions, customer complaints, CAPA, and maintain
audit trails.
- Conduct internal audits, support external customer / certification audits, inspections, and verification activities to
maintain regulatory and customer requirements.
- Ensure proper hygiene, sanitation, and housekeeping practices in production areas.
- Prepare quality reports, trend analysis, and product release documentation.
- Support implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the ISO 22000 Food Safety Management
System.
- Manage document control for QAQC and food safety records.
- Provide training and awareness sessions for staff on quality and halal practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive process optimization and compliance readiness.
Halal Management
- Manage and maintain company halal certification in compliance with JAKIM requirements.
- Ensure halal documents, records, and traceability are properly maintained.
- Coordinate halal internal audits and management review meetings.
- Liaise with authorities, certification bodies, and suppliers on halal matters.
- Verify halal status of raw materials, packaging, and production processes.
- Conduct halal awareness training for employees.
Requirements
- Diploma/Degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Nutrition, Biotechnology, Halal Management, or related field.
- Minimum 2–3 years working experience in QAQC/Halal role, preferably in food supplement or food manufacturing
industry.
- Knowledge of GMP, HACCP, ISO 22000, HALAL requirements, and Ministry of Health regulations.
- Experience in internal audit, risk assessment, HACCP team activities, and document control is an added advantage.
- Familiar with product registration and labelling compliance is an added advantage.
- Good communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
- Able to work independently and under pressure.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
