About the Role
We don’t sell catalogue products.
Our customers send us drawings, specifications and RFQs. Your role is to understand what they need, work with our internal teams to determine how we can manufacture it, build the costing, prepare quotations and follow the project through to delivery.
As a Technical Sales Engineer, you’ll be the link between the customer and our Engineering, Production, Quality and Purchasing teams.
This role is suitable for someone who enjoys engineering, solving problems, working with people and learning the business side of manufacturing.
What You’ll Do
- Receive and review customer enquiries, RFQs, drawings and specifications
- Understand customer requirements and clarify technical details when needed
- Coordinate with Engineering, Production, Quality, Purchasing and other teams to determine the suitable manufacturing solution
- Review material, process, machining, fabrication, finishing and subcontract requirements for costing
- Work out costing and prepare quotations from customer drawings
- Review drawing revisions or requirement changes that may affect costing and pricing
- Follow projects from enquiry → costing → quotation → order → production → delivery
- Communicate with customers on technical, project and commercial matters
- Maintain strong relationships with existing customers
- Support development of new customers and business opportunities
- Attend customer meetings and visit customers when required
- Follow up internally to ensure customer requirements and project timelines are properly communicated
Who We’re Looking For
- Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechatronics or related Engineering field
- Fresh graduates are welcome to apply
- Able to understand engineering drawings, or willing to learn
- Knowledge of AutoCAD / SolidWorks is an advantage
- Good communication skills in English
- Comfortable communicating with customers and different internal departments
- Interested in both engineering and business
- Logical, detail-oriented and responsible
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Comfortable using Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and digital tools
- Willing and able to travel for customer visits, meetings and project discussions when required

Pay: RM3,000.00 - RM4,500.00 per month
