About the role

Monitor daily construction activities and ensure safe working practices. Conduct regular site safety inspections and identify potential hazards. Ensure workers use appropriate PPE and follow safety procedures. Coordinate with site supervisors, engineers, subcontractors and project managers on safety matters.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor daily construction activities and ensure safe working practices

• Conduct regular site safety inspections and identify potential hazards

• Ensure workers use appropriate PPE and follow safety procedures

• Conduct toolbox meetings and safety briefings

• Prepare and maintain safety documentation, inspection checklists and reports

• Assist in risk assessments and Job Safety Analysis (JSA)

• Monitor excavation, earthworks, roadworks, drainage, utilities and other infrastructure activities

• Ensure proper barricading, signage and traffic management at site

• Report unsafe conditions, incidents and near-misses to the relevant management

• Assist with incident investigations and corrective/preventive actions

About you

• Valid Site Safety Supervisor (SSS) certification registered with DOSH/JKKP

• Relevant CIDB Green Card

• Certificate/Diploma/Degree in Occupational Safety & Health, Construction, Civil Engineering, or a related field

• Experience in construction/infrastructure projects, especially roadworks, earthworks, drainage, utilities, or structures

• Knowledge of OSHA 1994, DOSH/JKKP requirements and construction safety procedures

• Able to conduct site inspections, toolbox meetings, risk assessments and safety briefings

• Able to prepare safety reports, checklists, incident reports and other documentation

• Good communication skills and ability to coordinate with workers, subcontractors, engineers and project management

• Able to work on-site and in outdoor conditions

• Basic computer skills, especially Microsoft Word and Excel
