Role: Senior Accountant

Location: Malaysia (Hybrid, with 1-2x in-office on a bi-weekly basis)

Working Hours: Tuesday – Saturday, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM MYT

About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Accountant based in Malaysia to support our US finance function. This person will work closely with the Finance VP and collaborate with existing finance team members to strengthen financial operations, improve process discipline, and support day-to-day finance activities across the agency and talent management business.

Key Responsibilities

• Support and review payment requests from the US team, including talent payouts and agent reimbursements
• Assist with cash flow management for the agency/talent management business
• Help monitor and improve DSO, DPO, collection status, and payment execution
• Support the preparation of financial statements and reporting in NetSuite
• Develop an understanding of fee structures within the talent management, agency, or entertainment industry
• Work closely with the Finance VP on process improvements and day-to-day finance operations

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Minimum 4–6 years of relevant experience in accounting or finance
• Hands-on experience with NetSuite or similar ERP/accounting systems
• Strong understanding of AR/AP, cash flow management, and financial reporting
• Experience in or exposure to the talent management, agency, media, or entertainment industry is an advantage
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office tools
• High attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and ability to work independently across time zones
• Knowledge of US GAAP
• Able to build financial reports and review journal entries
• ACCA / equivalent certification preferred
