Role Description The Presales Engineer is a permanent, on-site role based in Cyberjaya. This role is responsible for working closely with the sales team to understand client requirements, design suitable technical solutions, and present proposals that align with PLTPRO’s data centre, cloud, cybersecurity, and disaster recovery offerings. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing solution architectures, conducting product demonstrations, responding to RFPs and RFQs, and supporting technical discussions with prospective and existing customers. The Presales Engineer will collaborate with internal technical teams to validate solution feasibility, ensure smooth integration with client environments, and provide technical support during proof-of-concept activities. The role also involves maintaining up-to-date knowledge of company services, industry technologies, and compliance standards to effectively advise clients and support business growth.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong presales and sales-related skills, including solution scoping, proposal development, and client presentation capabilities.
• Candidates should possess technical support and integration skills, with the ability to troubleshoot, validate solutions, and coordinate implementation with internal and client teams.
• Candidates should possess security-focused skills, including understanding of cybersecurity principles, security-by-design approaches, and relevant standards or best practices.
• Candidates should possess knowledge of data centre, cloud computing, and disaster recovery concepts, including colocation, hybrid cloud architectures, and business continuity strategies.
• Candidates should possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Candidates should possess good analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail in documenting requirements and designing solutions.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., in networking, cloud platforms, cybersecurity, or data centre operations) and experience in enterprise IT environments are highly recommended.
• A Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience, is preferred.
• Candidates must have at least 3 years of experience with strong track record for this position.
