Instrumentation Technician
Job Responsibilities:
- Maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and calibrate instrumentation and control systems.
- Perform routine inspection and preventive maintenance of instruments and control equipment.
- Maintain and troubleshoot PLC, DCS, SCADA, HMI, control panels, transmitters, sensors, control valves, and related instrumentation.
- Carry out calibration and testing of pressure, temperature, flow, level and other process instruments.
- Troubleshoot electrical/instrumentation faults and ensure equipment is operating safely and reliably.
- Assist with commissioning, testing, and installation of new instrumentation and control systems.
- Maintain proper records of calibration, maintenance, breakdowns, and repairs.
- Coordinate with the Operations and Maintenance teams to resolve instrumentation-related issues.
- Ensure all instrumentation works comply with company safety procedures and applicable standards.
- Support plant start-up, shutdown, and troubleshooting activities when required.
- Perform any other duties related to instrumentation and control systems as assigned by the supervisor/Plant Manager.
Requirements
- Diploma/Degree/Certificate in Instrumentation, Control & Automation, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience in power plant, biomass plant, boiler, manufacturing, or process industry is an advantage.
- Knowledge of PLC/DCS/SCADA systems, control valves, transmitters, sensors and calibration.
- Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willing to work at Sandakan, Sabah and support plant operations when required.
Pay: RM1,800.00 - RM2,500.00 per month
