Job Summary

We are seeking an MES Engineer (Manufacturing Execution System Engineer) to support the implementation, operation, and maintenance of Manufacturing Execution Systems and production-related applications at our Malaysia factory.

The role will work closely with business and production teams to ensure that software applications are aligned with business workflows, production requirements, and operational needs.

Key Responsibilities

System Operation & Maintenance

• Manage the daily operation and maintenance of production-related systems, covering upstream and downstream processes, document management, equipment, quality, and other manufacturing modules.
• Ensure system stability and availability to support 24/7 manufacturing operations.
• Troubleshoot system issues and provide timely technical support and responses to user inquiries.

Business Requirements & System Solutions

• Liaise with business and production departments to gather, analyze, and consolidate system requirements.
• Translate business requirements into suitable system solutions and recommend appropriate platforms.
• Manage the full requirements lifecycle, including requirement creation, review, testing, deployment, release, and post-implementation maintenance.

User Support & Training

• Develop system operation manuals and technical documentation for production-related applications.
• Conduct system training and provide support to key users and production teams.

System Design & Implementation

• Develop system capabilities to support new production processes and platforms.
• Participate in system design, verification, network planning, server-related design, and implementation activities.
• Prepare project and delivery plans and follow up closely on system implementation and deployment.

System Monitoring & Factory Expansion

• Conduct regular backend system health checks and ensure system reliability.
• Plan and manage data archiving activities.
• Support system and infrastructure planning for new factories, production lines, and sites.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or above in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
• CET-4 or equivalent English proficiency.
• Candidates with extensive relevant experience and strong technical competencies may be considered with a Diploma qualification.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in the operation and maintenance of large-scale production systems, OR at least 1 year of experience in system design.
• Strong knowledge of SQL, including CRUD operations and basic database table design.
• Familiarity with C# programming.
• Candidates with strong manufacturing/business process knowledge and programming skills are preferred.
• Proficient in system design and documentation tools such as Axure.
• Strong hands-on experience in software and system installation, configuration, and setup.
• Mandarin proficiency is required to communicate effectively with Mandarin-speaking clients, suppliers, and regional stakeholders.
