OSeMOSYS Energy System Modeller – Part-Time, 1-3 Months
About the Role
We're seeking an experienced OSeMOSYS Energy System Modeller to join our team on a part-time, contract basis for an immediate opportunity. You'll contribute to the Update to the Low-Carbon Monitor: Building Resilience and Alternative Economic Pathways through Climate Prosperity—a critical initiative modeling pathways to sustainable, resilient energy systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and refine energy system models using OSeMOSYS to explore decarbonization and resilience scenarios
- Conduct scenario analysis and sensitivity testing for low-carbon economic pathways
- Document assumptions, methodologies, and model results for policy and stakeholder audiences
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate modeling insights into climate prosperity frameworks
- Prepare technical reports and visualizations of model outputs for diverse audiences
Required Qualifications
- Proven hands-on experience with OSeMOSYS (model development, optimization, results analysis)
- Strong foundation in energy systems, optimization methods, and modeling frameworks
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Clear written and verbal communication abilities
