Role Description The IT, Systems & Support / Relief role is a full-time, on-site position based in Petaling Jaya. This role involves providing day-to-day technical support to staff, including diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, and network issues to ensure minimal disruption to legal operations. The team member will assist with system administration tasks such as user account management, software installation, updates, and routine maintenance of servers and workstations. They will monitor network performance and basic security settings, escalate complex issues to external vendors when needed, and maintain clear documentation of systems, procedures, and incidents. The role also includes supporting office technology (printers, scanners, communication tools), assisting with data backups, and helping implement IT best practices that align with the firm’s operational and compliance requirements.

Qualifications

• Ability to provide responsive Technical Support and effective Troubleshooting for hardware, software, and network issues.
• Foundational knowledge in Information Technology and System Administration, including user management, software installation, and routine maintenance.
• Understanding of Network Security principles and practices to help protect systems, data, and connectivity within the firm.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to assist non-technical users and collaborate with internal teams and external vendors.
• Organized, detail-oriented work style with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple support requests.
• Experience in a professional services or legal environment is an advantage, with awareness of data confidentiality and compliance requirements.
• Relevant certification or diploma/degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field is preferred.
• Willingness to learn, adapt to new technologies, and provide occasional relief support outside standard hours when required.
