The Role

Are you a seasoned SAS ETL specialist ready to make a real impact in the banking and financial sector? We are looking for a Software Developer / Software Programmer to join an applications development team on a 12-month contract, working onsite at Menara Southern Bank (MSB). You will design, build and optimise data integration solutions that power MIS and analytical reporting, while providing second level support and helping shape a scalable data warehouse roadmap.

What You'll Do

• Analyse, design, develop, test, implement and maintain business enabler systems projects and change requests
• Build SAS ETL programs to create SAS datasets from databases, external and other data sources
• Manage data mart requirements and data mapping, and plan a scalable data warehouse roadmap
• Provide second level support, including problem investigation, identification and permanent fixes
• Tune and optimise SAS ETL and batch processes to improve performance and reduce batch load
• Collaborate with Project Managers, Business Analysts and delivery teams to meet project timelines
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (e.g. BNM, MAS), security guidelines and audit needs, and maintain system and CAB documentation

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or equivalent
• At least 10 years of development experience with SAS ETL (using SAS Data Integration)
• At least 12 years in software development life cycle and processes
• Domain knowledge in at least one of: Banking and Financial, Risk Management, Regulatory Reporting, Basel II / Basel III
• Strong SAS backend process and troubleshooting experience, with good SQL, scripting and Unix / Linux / Windows knowledge
• Experience with database and data model design, risk model implementation, or data warehouse / big data projects is an advantage
• Strong logical, analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently under pressure
