Role Description The Mechanical Designer is a full-time, on-site role based in Georgetown. This role involves creating detailed mechanical designs and technical drawings for automation equipment, robotics, and custom industrial systems. Day-to-day tasks include developing 3D models and assemblies in CAD software, preparing manufacturing and assembly drawings, and collaborating with engineers to refine concepts and ensure design feasibility. The Mechanical Designer will participate in design reviews, support R&D activities, and work closely with production and project teams to resolve technical issues and ensure timely delivery of solutions. The role also includes updating documentation, adhering to safety and quality standards, and continuously improving designs for performance and cost-effectiveness.
Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong skills in Technical Drawing and Computer-Aided Design (CAD) for precise 2D and 3D mechanical documentation.
• Candidates should possess skills in Machine Design and Mechanical Engineering to develop robust, manufacturable components and systems.
• Candidates should possess experience in Research and Development (R&D) to support innovation, prototyping, and design optimization.
• Candidates should have a diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Candidates should demonstrate proficiency in common CAD tools (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar) and familiarity with manufacturing processes and materials.
• Candidates should have strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
• Experience in industrial automation, robotics, or machine vision environments is an advantage.
• Good communication skills and the ability to manage multiple design tasks and deadlines are beneficial.
