The Opportunity

We're partnering with a prestigious global hedge fund that is looking to hire a KDB+/Q Developer to help build the next generation of research, analytics, and trading platforms.

This is an opportunity to work on high-performance, low-latency systems that power real-time trading across global markets. You'll collaborate closely with Quantitative Researchers, Traders, and Portfolio Managers, developing technology that has a direct impact on investment decisions.

What You'll Be Doing

• Design, develop, and optimise high-performance KDB+/q applications for real-time market data.
• Build scalable, low-latency infrastructure supporting research, analytics, and trading.
• Partner with Quants, Traders, and Portfolio Managers to deliver robust production systems.
• Contribute to the design and evolution of critical trading and market data platforms.

What We're Looking For

• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or another STEM discipline.
• Commercial experience developing with KDB+/q.
• Experience within financial markets, trading, or real-time data environments is beneficial.
• Knowledge of market data platforms, electronic trading systems, and low-latency architectures.
• Strong analytical skills and a passion for solving complex technical challenges.
