Description of Work:

EAM Systems Integration Sdn. Bhd. is seeking a hands-on Construction Manager to lead site execution for MEP and industrial construction projects.

Working closely with the Project Manager, you will coordinate subcontractors, supervisors, suppliers and site teams to deliver safe, efficient and high-quality construction. The role requires strong site leadership, practical installation knowledge and the ability to resolve construction issues while maintaining project milestones.

Our target sectors include semiconductor, data centres, cleanrooms, pharmaceutical facilities and advanced manufacturing. You will play an important role in establishing site execution standards as EAM Malaysia grows.

What a typical day looks like:

• Lead day-to-day construction activities and coordinate work across subcontractors and disciplines.
• Translate the master program into practical weekly and daily work plans, with clear manpower, equipment and material requirements.
• Confirm work front readiness, including approved drawings, materials, access, permits and completion of preceding activities.
• Coordinate HVAC/ACMV, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, controls and associated civil, structural and architectural works.
• Review installation sequences, method statements and constructability issues with engineering, safety and quality teams.
• Monitor subcontractor manpower, productivity and workmanship, and drive corrective action when performance falls behind.
• Lead site coordination meetings and resolve clashes, access constraints and trade interfaces.
• Enforce site safety requirements with the safety team, including toolbox briefings, permit-to-work controls and safe execution of high-risk activities.
• Coordinate inspections, testing, quality records and closure of non-conformances.
• Manage site logistics, equipment deliveries, storage, lifting coordination and protection of completed works.
• Maintain accurate progress records and promptly report delays, site instructions, variations and resource constraints to the Project Manager.
• Coordinate installation completion, commissioning readiness, punch-list closure and final handover.

The experience we’re looking to add to our team:

• Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline. Candidates with substantial relevant site experience will also be considered.
• At least 8 years of construction site experience, including at least 3 years leading site teams as a Construction Manager, Site Manager or equivalent.
• Proven experience managing subcontractors and concurrent work activities on MEP or industrial construction projects.
• Strong practical knowledge of HVAC/ACMV installation, including ductwork, piping, equipment installation and associated service interfaces.
• Ability to coordinate multidisciplinary installations and identify clashes, sequencing issues and access requirements.
• Experience in cleanrooms, semiconductor facilities, data centres, pharmaceutical facilities or industrial manufacturing projects is a strong advantage.
• Ability to read construction drawings, coordinated services drawings, specifications and installation details.
• Practical knowledge of site safety, quality inspections, construction methods and testing and commissioning requirements.
• Experience preparing short-term schedules, tracking manpower and productivity, and implementing recovery actions.
• Strong leadership and communication skills, with the confidence to address subcontractor performance and site issues.
• A proactive, disciplined and hands-on approach suited to a growing organisation.
• Willingness to be based at project sites across Malaysia and work according to project execution requirements.
