We are looking for a curious, analytical and creative individual to help us build better product experiences.

About the Role

We believe the future of product design is data-driven, AI-powered and highly experimental.

Rather than focusing on traditional UI design alone, you will combine product analytics, user experience thinking and AI-assisted development to discover problems, prototype solutions and continuously improve our platform.

You will work closely with our Product Lead, engineers and growth team to understand how users interact with Luminee, identify opportunities for improvement and turn ideas into working prototypes.

We are not necessarily looking for someone who can draw beautiful interfaces from scratch. We are looking for someone who knows what makes a great product experience and can use modern AI tools to bring ideas to life.

This is an excellent opportunity for a fresh graduate or early-career professional interested in developing a career at the intersection of product management, UX, data analytics and AI.

Key Responsibilities

1. Product Analytics & Insights

• Analyse user behaviour across onboarding, activation, engagement, retention and conversion.
• Use product analytics tools, dashboards and data queries to understand user journeys and identify friction points.
• Investigate why users drop off, what keeps them engaged and which experiences deliver the greatest value.
• Translate data into actionable product recommendations.
• Help establish and monitor key product performance metrics.

2. AI-Powered Prototyping & Product Development

• Use AI-assisted development tools such as Cursor, Lovable, Figma Make and other emerging platforms to build interactive product prototypes.
• Rapidly translate ideas and user requirements into working experiences for testing and validation.
• Experiment with different interfaces, user flows and product features.
• Work with engineers to refine successful prototypes for production implementation.
• Explore new AI tools and workflows to improve product development speed and effectiveness.

3. User Experience & Product Design

• Improve the usability, accessibility and visual quality of Luminee's mobile and web experiences.
• Apply strong aesthetic judgement and UX principles to create intuitive, engaging interfaces.
• Design experiences that are appropriate for children, parents and educators.
• Simplify complex workflows and make important information easier for users to understand.
• Maintain consistency across product experiences, working within established design guidelines.

4. User Research & Experimentation

• Gather insights through user interviews, feedback, usability testing and behavioural data.
• Develop hypotheses about how product changes could improve user outcomes.
• Design and support experiments to validate product ideas.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of new features using qualitative and quantitative evidence.
• Continuously iterate based on findings and user feedback.

Who We're Looking For

Education & Background

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Analytics, Data Science, Human-Computer Interaction, Cognitive Science, Design or related disciplines.
• Fresh graduates and candidates with up to 2 years of relevant experience are welcome.
• Strong academic grounding in analytical thinking, problem-solving or technology.
• Demonstrated interest in digital products, AI and user experience.

Skills & Attributes

Analytical and intellectually curious

• Enjoys working with data, identifying patterns and solving problems.
• Comfortable with quantitative reasoning and structured problem-solving.
• Able to connect observations and insights to practical recommendations.

AI-native and technically resourceful

• Enthusiastic about using generative AI to build and experiment.
• Comfortable learning new tools independently.
• Interest or experience in AI-assisted coding, prototyping or automation.
• Basic programming knowledge and familiarity with SQL, Python or JavaScript would be advantageous, but are not mandatory.

Strong product and aesthetic instincts

• Appreciates well-designed digital products and understands what makes them intuitive and enjoyable.
• Has a good eye for visual hierarchy, layout, typography and interaction design.
• Able to evaluate and improve designs, even without extensive traditional UI design experience.
• Interested in understanding human behaviour and user motivation.

Proactive and experimental

• Enjoys creating, testing and iterating rather than simply following instructions.
• Willing to challenge assumptions and learn from unsuccessful experiments.
• Comfortable working in a fast-moving startup environment.
• Takes initiative and ownership of assigned projects.

• Completed personal projects involving data analysis, product development or user research.
