Technical Service Representative (Mechanical Engineering)

Location: Melaka

About the Role

We are looking for a Technical Service Representative to support customers in the operation and maintenance of water treatment systems. This is a hands-on, field-based role involving equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, water chemistry testing, and customer support.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical and service support to customers within the assigned area.
• Perform installation, maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting of chemical feed and process monitoring equipment.
• Conduct water chemistry tests, record results, and prepare service reports.
• Inspect equipment and identify potential technical issues.
• Maintain equipment, service records, and product inventory.
• Assist Sales Representatives with the start-up and commissioning of new applications at customer sites.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance and troubleshooting of mechanical equipment.
• Escalate technical issues when required and work with internal teams to resolve customer concerns.
• Follow all company safety procedures and service standards.

Requirements

• Certificate/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related technical field.
• Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in mechanical installation and maintenance.
• Experience handling pumps, air pumps, or other mechanical/industrial equipment is preferred.
• Experience in technical service, field support, equipment troubleshooting, or customer site support will be an advantage.
• Knowledge of water treatment systems, cooling towers, chillers, or boilers is an added advantage.
• Possess a valid driving licence and willing to travel to customer sites.
• Good communication and problem-solving skills.
• Safety-conscious and able to work independently in a field environment.

Pay: RM2,000.00 - RM2,500.00 per month
