About the Opportunity

A fast-growing international financial services group is looking for a Group Financial Controller / Head of Financial Accounting to build and strengthen its group-level finance function across multiple entities, jurisdictions and currencies.

This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who can take ownership of the numbers, establish robust financial controls and lead the next stage of finance transformation.

Key Responsibilities

1. Own group consolidation and month-end close across multiple entities and currencies, driving a faster and more reliable close process.
2. Establish consistent accounting policies, financial controls and reporting standards across the Group.
3. Lead external audits, statutory reporting and audit remediation, coordinating with local accounting firms across jurisdictions.
4. Take ownership of accounting matters within a regulated financial services environment, including client money and regulatory capital.
5. Lead the finance side of a new ERP implementation, including chart of accounts, data migration and parallel-run decisions.

Requirements

1. 8+ years' finance/accounting experience, including 3+ years owning in-house close and consolidation.
2. ACCA, CPA, CICPA or equivalent professional qualification.
3. Proven ownership of multi-entity, multi-currency consolidation.
4. Experience within financial services, payments, brokerage or another relevant regulated environment.
5. Strong process/control mindset with the ability to operate hands-on; ERP implementation/migration experience is highly advantageous.
