Job title: SHIPPING ASSOCIATE
Summary/Objective
Receive, pack and process production orders properly and prepare them for export by complying with the different specifications of each package and following the guidelines of the customers
Essential Functions/ Responsibilities.
1. Prepack: Verify, count and pack orders properly and prepare them for shipment.
2. Staging: Scanning of prepacks on designated shelves using the Precision program.
3. Picking: Collection of the orders by means of sessions in the Precision program for the consolidation process (multiple lines of the same client in a single shipment).
4. Boxing / Billing: Process orders World Direct being responsible for operating Carrier systems (UPS, DHL and FedEx
“The responsibilities as defined are intended to serve as a general guideline for this position. Associates may be asked to perform additional tasks depending on strengths and capabilities”
Required Experience:
1. Minimum 1 year of experience in similar positions or 6 months at Samtec.
2. Lifting Requirements: Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds from floor to waist.
3. Must be able to sit/stand for at least 90 consecutive minutes, and not suffer from any sensory deprivation and/or paralysis of the limbs.
Education:
1. High School Diploma or equivalent.
