Role Description The Quality Assurance Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing all quality assurance activities to ensure that products and processes meet internal standards, customer requirements, and regulatory guidelines. This full-time, on-site role based in Johore, Malaysia includes developing and implementing quality management systems, procedures, and documentation across manufacturing operations. The manager will lead inspection and testing efforts, monitor production quality metrics, conduct root cause analysis for nonconformities, and drive corrective and preventive actions. Day-to-day tasks include collaborating with engineering and production teams, managing audits, coordinating with customers on quality-related matters, and training team members on quality standards and best practices. The role also involves continuous assessment and improvement of processes, tools, and workflows to enhance overall product reliability and operational efficiency.
Qualifications
- Strong experience in quality management, including development, implementation, and maintenance of quality assurance systems and procedures.
- Proficiency in quality tools and methodologies, such as root cause analysis, corrective and preventive actions (CAPA), and continuous improvement practices.
- Background in precision engineering, plastic injection molding, or related manufacturing environments, ideally with exposure to tooling, dies, and automated fixtures.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and industry standards, and to align production processes with customer and regulatory requirements.
- Demonstrated leadership skills, including team management, cross-functional collaboration, and training or mentoring of staff on quality topics.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail and a structured approach to resolving quality issues.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, for interacting with internal stakeholders, customers, and auditors.
- Relevant academic background, such as a diploma or degree in engineering, quality management, manufacturing, or a related field.
- Experience with ISO or other quality management standards, and familiarity with audit preparation and execution.
- Willingness to work on-site in Johore, Malaysia and to engage closely with production floor activities.
