Job Summary

The Beverage Manager is responsible for leading and overseeing all beverage operations across the hotel’s outlets (restaurants, bars, lounges, and events). The role ensures exceptional luxury guest experiences while maximizing revenue, maintaining Sofitel brand standards, and driving innovation in beverage offerings.

This position supports the Food & Beverage leadership team in delivering refined, elegant, and memorable service.

Key Responsibilities1. Beverage Operations Management

• Oversee daily operations of all beverage outlets (e.g. bar, lounge, restaurant service)
• Ensure smooth, high-quality service delivery aligned with luxury hospitality standards
• Maintain consistency in drink preparation, presentation, and service excellence
• Work closely with restaurant and banquet teams for seamless operations

2. Menu Development & Innovation

• Curate and update beverage menus (cocktails, wines, spirits, mocktails)
• Introduce creative, trend-driven concepts aligned with Sofitel’s luxury positioning
• Develop signature drinks and seasonal offerings
• Collaborate with culinary team on pairing menus

3. Financial & Cost Control

• Manage beverage budgets, pricing strategies, and revenue targets
• Monitor cost of sales, wastage, and stock variance
• Drive profitability through promotions and upselling strategies
• Analyze sales performance and prepare reports

4. Inventory & Procurement

• Oversee ordering, supplier relations, and stock management
• Conduct regular inventory checks and audits
• Ensure optimal stock levels while minimizing waste

5. Team Leadership & Training

• Lead, train, and mentor bar and service teams
• Build a strong service culture focused on luxury guest experience
• Conduct regular training on product knowledge (wine, spirits, cocktails)
• Manage scheduling and manpower planning

6. Guest Experience & Service Excellence

• Ensure personalized, intuitive, and refined guest service
• Handle VIP guests, complaints, and special requests professionally
• Continuously monitor and improve guest satisfaction
• Maintain Sofitel’s high standards of hospitality and elegance

7. Compliance & Quality Assurance

• Ensure compliance with local alcohol regulations and licensing laws
• Maintain hygiene, health, and safety standards
• Enforce responsible alcohol service practices

Requirements & Qualifications

• Diploma/Degree in Hospitality Management or related field
• Minimum 3–5 years experience in beverage/bar management, preferably in a luxury hotel
• Strong knowledge of wines, spirits, cocktails, and mixology
• Experience in international hotel chains (Accor preferred)
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Creative mindset with a passion for luxury hospitality
