MDD, A Davies Company is a specialised forensica ccounting firm offering business valuations, forensic investigations and litigation support services.  With more than 40 offices on 5 continents, our forensic accountants specialise in a wide range of practice areas.

Our assignments consist of disputes in commercial litigation, family law, fraud, business valuations, business disputes, natural and man-made catastrophes, lost profits, and insurance. Our partners and senior staff regularly provide extensive litigation services and expert witness testimony in courts, arbitrations and mediations throughout the world.

Job Description

This is a full-time role and will be hybrid from the Singapore office.

The ideal candidate will possess strong numeracy, communication and analytical skills and be capable of working in teams and independently when required. Degrees in financial or technical subjects are preferred although a high level of numeracy will be essential for any successful applicant.

Mandarin, Vietnamese, Tagalog or Bahasa Indonesia language skills will be considered beneficial but are not essential. Since our clients are often based outside Singapore business travel will be required, sometimes at short notice.

Key Responsibilities

We are looking for a qualified accountant with an interest in pursuing a career in forensic accounting.

The tasks performed will include, but are not limited to:

·        Intermediate analysis of sales, production and other accounting data

·        Physical inventory observation, price testing

·        Examination of source documents pertinent to engagement

·        Checking and proofing reports and schedules

·        Conduct phone or in person interviews to obtain information

·        Research on a wide-range of topics, issues

·        Data analysis and evaluation

·        Invoice analysis

·        Attend marketing events and functions with clients

Qualifications

·        Accounting or finance-related degree

·        Working towards an accounting qualification or designation

Skills & Experience

·        Approximately 2 years of working experience, ideally in big 4 or consultancy related fields

·        Strong attention to detail, and excellent problem-solving abilities

·        Strongteam-player but who can work independently and take ownership of own deliverables

·        Confident communicator who is happy to engage with stakeholders internal and external ofMDD

·        Mustbe able to work under pressure or tight deadlines

·        Ability to learn and understand how loss events may impact a business

·        IT literate with good MS office skills
