The Role

Play a Vital Role Behind Every Successful Surgery

Join our Operating Theatre team and become an essential part of delivering safe, seamless and high-quality surgical care. As an Operating Theatre Assistant, you will work closely with nurses, surgeons and multidisciplinary healthcare professionals to ensure operating rooms are well-prepared, equipment is ready for use, and patients are safely supported throughout their surgical journey.

This hands-on role offers exposure to a dynamic operating theatre environment, where no two days are the same. You will be involved in preparing operating theatres, maintaining equipment and cleanliness standards, assisting with patient transfers and positioning, and supporting surgical teams to ensure smooth daily operations. Your contributions will directly impact patient safety, surgical efficiency, and overall quality of care.

Key accountabilities

• Work under the supervision of Senior Operating Theatre Assistant and Nursing staff.
• Communicate effectively and adhere to safety regulations at all times.
• Consult and assist surgical team in preparation for the day to day operations.
• Duties includes cleaning OT, preparation of equipment required for lists and adjusting operating lights during procedures.
• Care of equipment, ensure cleanliness before storage.
• Smooth transfer and positioning of patients for procedures.
• Follow procedures for disposing of wastes and soiled linen.
• Responsible and demonstrates initiative and flexibility in the work.

Qualifications & Experience

• OT related experience

• Able to commit to hospital shift hours

• Able to do on-call duties
