About us

Accountants and auditors spend countless hours on manual trial balance mapping, document cross-checking and chasing audit evidence. At CANNEX.AI we're building agentic AI that acts as a virtual colleague. It sorts bulk documents, builds evidence chains across them, resolves discrepancies and drafts compliant financial reports in seconds.

We're a fast-moving startup preparing for major industry showcases and client growth, and we need a hands-on product designer to make complex finance and AI workflows clear and easy to trust.

What you'll do

• Design end-to-end workflows for our core products
• Design explainable-AI patterns: AI reasoning, source citations that link back to key documents, and clear warnings for missing documents or discrepancies
• Improve data-heavy screens such as dense financial tables, side-by-side document review, and approval workflows
• Build and maintain our Figma design system and tokens so developers can ship quickly
• Support product demo visuals and mockups for industry events such as the HKICPA Innovation Conference

You'll work directly with our founders, product leads, CPA domain experts and engineers, and your designs will go straight into production for real CPA firms and finance teams.

Success in your first 3 months

• Refined/redesigned key flows live in core products
• A usable Figma component library and design tokens in place
• Clear UI patterns for AI reasoning and source citations
• Demo-ready visuals for our upcoming showcases

What we're looking for

• 2+ years in UI/UX or product design, with a portfolio showing B2B SaaS, fintech or data-heavy web apps (portfolio required)
• Advanced Figma: auto-layout, prototyping, component libraries, developer handoff
• Proven ability to simplify dense, rule-based workflows such as tables, document parsers, multi-step forms or AI copilot interfaces
• Basic understanding of front-end constraints (React, Next.js, Tailwind) so designs translate cleanly into code
• Startup mindset: proactive, quick to iterate on user and CPA feedback, focused on shipping
• Fluent English and Cantonese preferred

Nice to have

• Experience designing AI or LLM products, such as source linking or human-in-the-loop review
• Familiarity with accounting, ERP, audit or compliance tools
• Motion and micro-interactions for demos
