We are seeking a motivated and passionate individual to support research on global industry trends, emerging technologies, environmental sustainability and new market developments. The individual will have the opportunity to explore innovative ideas, analyse industry developments, and contribute insights that support business growth and sustainability.

Working Days: 2 days per week
Work Arrangement: Hybrid
Working Hours: 8 Hours
Duration: Minimum 3 months
Salary Range: $18-$22/Hour

Job Description:

• Conduct research on emerging environmental trends and innovative solutions for sustainable dry bulk shipping.
• Collect, organise, and analyse data to identify market trends, audience insights, and business opportunities.
• Research the application of artificial intelligence, digitalisation and data analytics in improving vessel fuel efficiency and reducing emissions.
• Monitor developments in maritime environmental regulations and sustainability requirements, including relevant IMO initiatives and carbon-emission reduction measures.
• Ability to collect, analyse and interpret complex information
• Participating in pitching presentations.
• Preparation of reports, presentation materials, research summaries, briefing materials and other departmental outputs.
• Support sustainability in dry bulk shipping.
• Support coordination with internal stakeholders.
• Support other research projects where required.

Requirements:

• Currently pursuing or has completed a relevant qualification such as Bachelor's Degree in Business, Maritime Studies or a related field.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and effectively.
• Strong project coordination skills, with the ability to organise work, manage competing priorities, track progress and follow through on deliverables.
• Passionate, proactive and resourceful with strong interest in maritime industry.
• Comfortable working independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint and Word).
• Interest in sustainability and environmental impact and contribute to global sustainability efforts.
