Engineer – Sawing / Condux / Takatori Mounter

Location: Bayan Lepas, Penang, Malaysia

Employment Type: Permanent | Full-Time

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Process Engineer to support and optimise semiconductor manufacturing processes, particularly wafer mounting and sawing operations using Condux and Takatori equipment. The successful candidate will be responsible for process improvement, equipment troubleshooting, yield enhancement and ensuring stable production performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, optimise and maintain sawing and wafer mounting processes.
• Handle process setup, programming, parameter optimisation and qualification for Condux and Takatori mounter equipment.
• Monitor process performance and ensure product quality and production efficiency.
• Troubleshoot process and equipment-related issues, including wafer chipping, cracking, alignment and mounting defects.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance yield, productivity and process stability.
• Support New Product Introduction (NPI), process validation and engineering trials.
• Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Work closely with Production, Equipment and Quality teams to resolve manufacturing issues.
• Maintain process documentation, SOPs and engineering reports.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronic, Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 2–5 years of relevant experience in semiconductor or manufacturing industries.
• Hands-on experience in wafer sawing, wafer mounting and/or dicing processes.
• Experience with Condux and/or Takatori mounter equipment is highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of process optimisation, troubleshooting and yield improvement.
• Familiar with SPC, DOE, PFMEA, RCA and 8D problem-solving methodologies.
• Good analytical, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Able to work independently and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
