Prince's Landscape is looking for a creative and commercially minded individual to join our Construction Business Unit.

This role combines landscape design, proposal development and client engagement. You will play an important role in helping us secure new landscape construction, upgrading and enhancement projects by translating client requirements into compelling and practical design concepts.

From Day 1, your main focus will be on understanding client briefs, developing landscape concepts and supporting project proposals. As you gain experience, you will progressively take on a larger role in presenting to clients, developing relationships and managing opportunities from the initial enquiry through to project award.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone with landscape design knowledge who would like to develop into a more client-facing and commercially focused role within the landscape construction industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct site visits and engage clients to understand their requirements, project objectives and site conditions.
• Translate client briefs into creative and practical landscape concepts, including concept sketches, mood boards, plant palettes and 2D layouts.
• Prepare 3D visualisations, perspectives or renders to support project proposals and client presentations.
• Develop landscape improvement, upgrading and enhancement proposals for new and existing sites.
• Propose suitable planting, materials and landscape elements based on the design concept, site conditions and client requirements.
• Work closely with the QS and Operations teams to ensure proposed designs are practical, buildable and can be delivered within project requirements and commercial margins.
• Support the preparation of compelling design and proposal submissions to improve the company's chances of securing projects.

Client Engagement & Business Development

• Present landscape concepts and proposals to clients, initially together with the Business Unit Manager or other team members, and independently as you develop in the role.
• Follow up on design proposals and quotations, including responding to client enquiries and clarifications.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with prospective and existing clients.
• Progressively take ownership of opportunities from the initial client meeting through to proposal, negotiation and project award.
• Identify opportunities for landscape construction, upgrading and enhancement works.
• Keep the Business Development tracker updated and contribute to weekly outreach and business development updates.

Requirements

• Background, knowledge or hands-on experience in landscape design, landscape architecture, horticulture or a related field.
• Ability to translate client requirements into landscape concepts and visual proposals.
• Familiarity with plant selection, landscape materials and practical construction or installation considerations.
• Ability to prepare sketches, layouts and presentation materials to communicate design ideas.
• Comfortable communicating with clients and presenting design concepts.
• Good interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
• A commercially minded individual who is interested in developing into a business development and client relationship management role.

Good to Have

The following would be advantageous, but are not mandatory:

• Knowledge of landscape construction, upgrading or enhancement works.
• Knowledge of green walls, green roofs, ABC Waters features and NParks Skyrise Greenery requirements.
• Relevant CUGE courses in landscape design or skyrise greenery.
• Experience using landscape design, CAD, 3D visualisation or rendering software.
• Ability to produce quick concept sketches digitally, including on an iPad using applications such as Procreate.
• Previous experience in client-facing, sales or business development roles.

Pay: $3,300.00 - $4,000.00 per month
