About The Job

• Mission-Critical Design: Design, plan, and coordinate high-availability electrical systems for data centers, including MV/LV power distribution, UPS systems, backup generators, switchgears, and grounding/earthing systems.
• Engineering Analysis: Prepare electrical load calculations, short circuit analysis, protection discrimination studies, and voltage drop calculations.
• Documentation: Develop single-line diagrams (SLDs), technical specifications, tender documentation, and engineering reports.
• Project Coordination: Work in tandem with the mechanical and architectural teams to integrate electrical infrastructure seamlessly into mission-critical facilities.
• Testing & Commissioning: Oversee Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), Site Acceptance Testing (SAT), and Integrated Systems Testing (IST) for critical electrical equipment.
• Compliance: Ensure designs adhere to local regulatory standards (e.g., Suruhanjaya Tenaga) as well as international reliability standards (e.g., Uptime Institute Tier classifications, IEC).
  
  

About You

• Education: Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience: Minimum 1–5 years of relevant experience in M&E consultancy. Direct experience with data centers, UPS systems, or heavy electrical infrastructure is a strong advantage.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in AutoCAD and electrical calculation software (e.g., ETAP). Knowledge of Revit/BIM is an added advantage.
• Certifications: Registration with the relevant Board of Engineers as a Graduate Engineer is highly preferred.
• Attributes: Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage complex technical decisions independently.
