Senior Sales Manager – Metals & Dry Bulk Commodities

Singapore | China, Southeast Asia, US & Europe

Our client is expanding its international commodities business and looking for someone who can answer that question with customers, products and deals.

Based in Singapore, you’ll grow an existing metals, minerals and dry bulk portfolio, with China as a core market. You’ll also develop business across Southeast Asia, the US and Europe and help decide which new commodities the company should pursue.

You’ll join a supportive, collaborative team where sales, trading, logistics and operations work closely together to get deals done. You’ll have room to bring your own market ideas forward and the support to turn them into business.

What you’ll do

• Grow existing accounts and win new business with producers, traders and industrial customers, with a strong focus on China-related trade.
• Identify new products and markets where the business can grow sales volumes and margins.
• Own the deal from pricing and negotiation through contract execution, working with trading, logistics and operations to deliver on commitments.
• Use market intelligence, supply and demand trends, and customer conversations to spot commercial opportunities.

What you’ll bring

• 7–10 years of relevant experience in commodity trading, metals, mining, dry bulk or international industrial sales.
• A track record of winning customers and closing international deals.
• Strong knowledge of the China commodities market, plus exposure to Southeast Asia, the US or Europe. Established relationships with producers, traders or industrial customers are an advantage.
• Confidence developing business independently and negotiating pricing and commercial terms.
• A degree in Business, Commerce, Engineering or a related discipline.
