Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop and deploy scalable full-stack applications using TypeScript.
• Build and maintain backend services and REST APIs using Node.js frameworks such as Express or Hono.
• Develop responsive user interfaces using React and Next.js.
• Design and optimise relational databases, including schema design, data modelling and integrations.
• Manage the end-to-end development lifecycle, from prototyping and testing to deployment and maintenance.
• Build automation scripts and tools to improve development efficiency.
• Explore and adopt new technologies and tools to enhance engineering practices.

Requirements:

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT or a related field, with at least 5 years of hands-on application development experience.
• Strong TypeScript proficiency, including a solid understanding of type systems.
• Hands-on Node.js backend development experience using Express, Hono or similar frameworks.
• Strong experience with REST APIs or GraphQL, authentication and backend architecture.
• Experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL, including schema design, data modelling and query optimisation.
• Familiarity with ORMs such as Prisma or Drizzle.
• Basic familiarity with React and Next.js, with the ability to understand frontend code and collaborate with frontend teams.
• Proficiency in AI-assisted coding tools such as Claude Code, Cursor or GitHub Copilot is essential.

Pay: From RM5,000.00 per month
