We have an Immediate Opening DBA Engineer with our reputed Client.

Client Location Kuala Lumpur

Experience: 5+ years

Looking for a hands-on DBA Engineer with strong experience in Microsoft SQL Server and PostgreSQL. Candidate must be capable of independently managing installation, administration, performance tuning, HA/DR, backup & recovery, patching, troubleshooting and operational support. Experience supporting databases in Microsoft Azure environment is required.

Exposure to cloud technologies, automation, Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and modern platform technologies will be an added advantage. Candidate should be able to support both BAU operations and project delivery with minimal supervision.

• Minimum >5 years hands-on experience in Database Administration.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server and PostgreSQL administration.
• Hands-on experience in:
• Database installation, configuration and upgrade.
• Database performance tuning and optimization.
• Backup, restore and recovery management.
• High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) implementation.
• Database patching, migration and capacity management.
• Database security hardening and access management.
• Database troubleshooting and root cause analysis.

Cloud & Modern Platform Skills

• Experience supporting databases hosted on Microsoft Azure.
• Familiar with Azure services such as:
• Azure Virtual Machines
• Azure SQL Database
• Azure Backup
• Azure Monitoring / Log Analytics
• Understanding of cloud architecture, networking and security concepts.
• Exposure to Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and automation tools would be an added advantage.
