Job Summary

We are seeking a creative and experienced Fashion Designer to join our boutique and custom tailoring business. You will create unique garment designs, consult clients for bespoke orders, select fabrics, and oversee production from sketching to final stitching.

Responsibilities

Design unique garments that fulfill client specifications and align with brand standards

Consult with clients to capture bespoke tailoring needs and preferences accurately

Select suitable fabrics and materials to realize desired design outcomes

Oversee the production process from initial sketches through final stitching to ensure quality

Collaborate with tailors and production teams to deliver garments on schedule and to specification

Required competencies and certifications

Degree or Diploma in Fashion Design, Arts, Textile Technology, or a related field

Proven experience of 1 to 3 years in fashion design, custom tailoring, or boutique garment production

Preferred competencies and qualifications

Demonstrated strong creative skills with in-depth knowledge of fabrics, draping, patterns, and stitching techniques

Proficiency in fashion design software or hand-sketching, color coordination, and trend forecasting

Excellent communication and client-handling skills to understand and translate custom design requirements
