Job Description & Requirements

Role: Java Developer

Mandatory Skill: Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, Spring WebFlux

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, test, and maintain enterprise-grade applications using Java and Spring Boot.

Build reactive, non-blocking, and high-performance applications using Spring WebFlux.

Design and develop scalable microservices using modern software engineering practices.

Develop clean, reusable, maintainable, and well-documented code.

Create and integrate RESTful APIs and backend services.

Collaborate with business analysts, architects, QA engineers, DevOps teams, and other technology stakeholders.

Translate functional and technical requirements into effective software solutions.

Troubleshoot application issues, analyze root causes, and implement permanent fixes.

Participate in code reviews and contribute to coding standards and best practices.

Write unit, integration, and automated tests to ensure application quality.

Support application deployment, production releases, and post-deployment issue resolution.

Contribute to performance optimization, scalability, reliability, and security improvements.

Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, backlog refinement, reviews, and retrospectives.

Prepare and maintain technical documentation relating to application design, APIs, and operational procedures.

Required Skills and Experience

6–9 years of professional experience in Java application development.

Strong hands-on experience with Java, preferably Java 8 or above.

Strong experience developing applications using Spring Boot.

Mandatory: Hands-on experience with Spring WebFlux and reactive programming.

Strong experience designing and developing microservices-based applications.

Solid understanding of RESTful API design, service integration, and distributed systems.

Experience with reactive programming concepts such as Mono, Flux, backpressure, and non-blocking I/O.

Good understanding of application performance, scalability, exception handling, and resilience.

Experience writing unit and integration tests.

Familiarity with Git and standard software development practices.

Experience working in Agile development environments.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferred Skills

Experience with Spring Cloud, API gateways, service discovery, circuit breakers, and distributed configuration.

Experience with messaging technologies such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, or JMS.

Knowledge of SQL and relational databases such as Oracle, MySQL, or PostgreSQL.

Exposure to NoSQL databases such as MongoDB or Cassandra.

Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.

Familiarity with CI/CD tools and DevOps practices.

Knowledge of observability tools, including centralized logging, application metrics, and distributed tracing.

Experience working in banking, financial services, payments, or other regulated enterprise environments.

Familiarity with secure coding practices and enterprise application security.
