Job Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Network Engineering, or a related technical field.

• Relevant hands-on experience in onsite IT infrastructure installation, data centre deployment, systems engineering, or network implementation is preferred.

• Practical knowledge of enterprise server hardware, storage systems, and network infrastructure across multiple vendors.

• Familiarity with server platforms such as Dell PowerEdge, HPE ProLiant, Lenovo ThinkSystem, or equivalent enterprise systems.

• Understanding of storage technologies, including RAID, SAN, NAS, Fibre Channel, iSCSI, and storage provisioning.

• Knowledge of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, VLANs, subnetting, routing, switching, and Ethernet cabling.

• Familiarity with server management interfaces such as Dell iDRAC, HPE iLO, and Lenovo XClarity Controller.

• Basic knowledge of Windows Server, Linux, VMware vSphere, Microsoft Hyper-V, or other virtualization platforms is an advantage.

• Ability to perform physical rack mounting, cable management, hardware installation, component replacement, and equipment commissioning.

• Ability to read technical documentation, follow deployment procedures, and troubleshoot infrastructure issues systematically.

• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

• Good communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a technical project team.

• Willingness to travel to customer sites and data centres, including outstation assignments when required.

• Possess a valid driving licence; own transport is an advantage.

Preferred Qualifications & Certifications

• Dell, HPE, Lenovo, Cisco, Aruba, or other enterprise infrastructure vendor training or certifications.

• CompTIA Server+, Network+, CCNA, or equivalent technical certifications.

• VMware, Microsoft, or other virtualization and systems administration certifications.

• Experience with enterprise data centre deployments, rack-and-stack projects, server commissioning, storage implementation, and network rollouts.

IT Infrastructure Installation & Deployment

• Perform onsite installation, configuration, and deployment of enterprise IT infrastructure equipment, including servers, storage systems, network switches, routers, firewalls, and related hardware.

• Conduct physical rack mounting, equipment installation, cable management, power connections, and hardware labelling at customer data centres and server rooms.

• Install and configure enterprise server platforms from multiple vendors, including Dell PowerEdge, HPE ProLiant, Lenovo ThinkSystem, and other equivalent platforms.

• Deploy and configure storage solutions, including SAN, NAS, direct-attached storage, and enterprise storage arrays.

• Install and configure network infrastructure equipment, including switches, routers, wireless access points, and firewalls from multiple vendors.

• Perform hardware initialization, firmware updates, BIOS configuration, and basic system health checks in accordance with vendor guidelines and project requirements.

Server, Storage & Network Configuration

• Configure server hardware, RAID arrays, storage controllers, network interfaces, and out-of-band management tools such as iDRAC, iLO, and XClarity Controller.

• Assist with storage provisioning, LUN configuration, volume allocation, and connectivity setup between servers and storage systems.

• Configure basic network settings, including VLANs, IP addressing, switch ports, link aggregation, and network connectivity.

• Assist with operating system installation, hypervisor deployment, and basic virtualization configuration when required.

• Perform connectivity testing and validate interoperability between servers, storage systems, and network equipment.

Troubleshooting & Technical Support

• Diagnose and resolve hardware, firmware, connectivity, and infrastructure deployment issues at customer sites.

• Perform hardware replacement, component upgrades, and basic fault isolation for servers, storage devices, and network equipment.

• Identify technical issues and coordinate with vendor support teams for advanced troubleshooting and warranty-related cases.

• Conduct post-installation testing to ensure that deployed equipment operates according to the agreed technical specifications.

• Prepare technical incident reports and escalate complex issues to senior engineers or relevant vendors.

Project Implementation & Documentation

• Execute infrastructure deployment according to project schedules, technical designs, method statements, and customer requirements.

• Coordinate with project managers, Technical Sales Consultants, Sales Executives, vendors, and customer IT teams during implementation.

• Maintain accurate records of equipment serial numbers, service tags, asset tags, rack positions, port mappings, and deployment status.

• Prepare installation reports, configuration records, test results, and customer sign-off documents.

• Ensure proper handling of equipment, adherence to data centre access procedures, and compliance with customer security and safety requirements.

• Support infrastructure migration, relocation, expansion, and upgrade projects when required.

Customer Service & Onsite Support

• Provide professional onsite technical support to enterprise and commercial customers.

• Communicate implementation progress, technical findings, and outstanding issues clearly to customers and internal teams.

• Conduct basic operational handovers and explain the installed infrastructure to customer IT personnel.

• Travel to customer premises and data centre facilities as required, including occasional outstation assignments.
