Role Purpose

The Donor Relations Officer is responsiblefor cultivating, stewarding, and expanding relationships with donors to ensuresustainable support for the organization’s mission. This role combinesfundraising strategy with personalized engagement, ensuring donors feel valuedand connected to the impact of their contributions.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and maintain strong relationships with individual donors, corporate sponsors, and philanthropic partners.
• Design and implement donor stewardship plans, including personalized communications, appreciation events, and impact reporting.
• Draft compelling proposals, donor updates, fundraising appeals, and digital content.
• Create and manage content for social media platforms, the company website, and crowdfunding campaigns to enhance donor engagement.
• Collaborate with program teams to translate project outcomes into donor‑friendly stories.
• Track donor contributions, prepare reports, and ensure compliance with governance and financial standards.
• Identify opportunities for donor upgrades and long‑term giving commitments.
• Support fundraising campaigns and events, ensuring donor participation and recognition.
• Monitor donor trends and recommend strategies to enhance engagement.

Qualifications & Skills

• Diploma/Degree in Communications, Marketing, Business, or related field (preferred).
• Experience in fundraising, sales, donor relations, or digital content creation is an advantage.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal).
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams.
• Proficiency in CRM systems, donor databases, and digital communication tools.
• Familiarity with social media management, website content creation, and crowdfunding platforms.
